OSCE representatives arrived at the Section No. 2 in Zolotoye to confirm the separation of forces, the press service of the Lugansk People’s Republic People’s Militia (LPR PM) reported on November 28.
According to the report, demining and fortification dismantling works were taking place for 26 days along the road between Pervomaysk and Zolotoye.
During the demining, the personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the LPR found and destroyed over 1,000 explosive devices.
According to the LPR PM press service, Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Mark Etherington arrived at the Section No. 2 to confirm the separation of forces.
“He personally inspected the scope of works performed,” the press service stressed.
Also, upon OSCE request, the community services will clear a wood line to improve video monitoring of the situation at the contact line.
The process of creating security zones in Donbass started three years ago, but the Ukrainian side regularly fails to fulfill its obligations.
On October 29, the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairperson-in-Office to the Trilateral Contact Group in Ukraine Martin Sajdik confirmed readiness for the separation of forces in the Lugansk People’s Republic.
