Petrovskoye was shelled from positions that the Ukrainian army recently “left”, the Zvezda TV channel reported on November 19.
As a result of the fire opened from the Ukrainian side, the demining of the territory had to be paused, and the personnel of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the Center for Control and Coordination of Ceasefire and Stabilization had to be removed to a safe distance.
The separation of forces and the observation of the ceasefire regime is an important condition for the Normandy Four meeting to take place.
This is not the first violation of ceasefire by Ukraine. Three days before, on November 16, the Ukrainian army, using a position in the separation zone, near Petrovskoye, shelled the town of Bogdanovka using an 82 mm mortar.
