Donetsk People’s Republic debunks reports of Ukrainian army offensive

The Directorate of the People’s Militia of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) denied on June 13 the statements made by the Ukrainian military that they had occupied territories near Donetsk, RIA Novosti reports.

According to the Directorate, the information about the advance of Ukrainian military units on a section of the contact line with the DPR was false, because “the enemy did not change its positions,” and the situation remains under the DPR army’s control.

Previously, the spokesperson of the Ukrainian army’s 24th Independent Mechanized Brigade communicated on the air of Armia FM radio station that the Ukrainian army has closely approached Donetsk.

He said that “the military has closely approach Donetsk, having reduced the distance from their positions to the city outskirts down to 100 to 250 meters.”
