Syrian Air Defense Forces shot down an Israeli reconnaissance UAV, which was flying towards Lebanon over the Syrian territory, a Rossa Primavera News Agency source reports on August 3.
SANA, a Syrian news agency, and other Arabic-language media later confirmed the information about the UAV interception in the south-west of Syria.
In recent weeks, the Israeli Air Force has shown an increased activity in the Syrian airspace, intruding both from Israel and from Lebanon. In response, the Syrian Air Defense Forces are actively defending, which results in the Israeli Air Force suffering the losses.
