The Russian army is helping civilians leave the province of Idlib occupied by the militants, the Center for Reception, Distribution and Accommodation of Refugees reported on July 30, RIA Novosti reports.
The Russian Center for Reception of Refugees now receives support from the province Governor. A commission for the restoration of Syrians’ documents has been established at the Center. All migrants undergo a check in Syrian databases for any criminal record.
All refugees have to be inspected for possessing arms. Russian medical professionals provide the Syrians with recommendations regarding how to recover their health.
Various militant groups, including terrorists from Jabhat al-Nusra (organization banned in Russia), have been controlling the province of Idlib over a period of several years. According to multi-lateral agreements, militants who fight against President al-Assad and refuse to lay down arms and obtain a legitimate status are brought to Idlib.
