The Syrian army defeated a militants’ attack against military facilities in the province of Al Quneitra, SANA reported in June 28.
It remains unknown whether the militants were from any of the numerous terrorist groups fighting in Syria. The militants attempted a breakthrough near the settlement of Jaba in eastern Al Quneitra.
The Islamists had severe casualties during the hostilities, and they had to retreat towards the settlement of Al Hamidiye.
On May 26, the Center for Reconciliation of the Opposing Sides carried out a humanitarian action in the province of Al Quneitra, distributing 1.9 tons of food.
The same day the joint Russian-French commission reported nine cases of ceasefire violation committed by terrorists.
