US Armed Forces lose Kurds' support in Syria

01.03.2018, Moscow.

The United States military in Syria has lost Kurd’s support Rossiyskaya Gazeta, a Russian government daily newspaper, reports on March 1 citing The New York Times.

According to the US source, currently the main military forces of the Kurds have moved to Syria’s north-west to defend Afrin and to support the Kurdish militia in the fight against the Turkish army. Meanwhile, terrorists might use this as a chance to break through the encirclement in the Euphrates River Valley.

At the moment, as reported by the US media, Arabs and US military are forced to take a defensive position, suspending operations to clear areas of the Euphrates River Valley from ISIL militants (organization banned in Russia).

The Kurdish units of the Syrian army played a key role in the liberation of Raqqa during last year’s fall.
