According to the press service of LPR People’s Militia, the Ukrainian army violated ceasefire 9 times on September 24, RIA Novosti reported.
The Ukrainian army used automatic grenade launchers (AGSs) and anti-tank guns (SPGs), high-caliber heavy machine guns, and small arms against People’s Militia positions in four towns and villages. The enemy fired at Zhelobok, Kalinovka, Lozovoe and Frunze from the direction of Krymskoye, Luganskoye, and Novotoshkovskoye.
No casualties among civilians and servicemen have been reported so far.
The settlement of the conflict in DPR and LPR is being discussed in Minsk by the Contact Group as well as at the level of the UN General Assembly. Since September 2014, three documents that regulate the steps to de-escalate the conflict have already been adopted. However, Ukraine constantly violates the ceasefire. At the moment, deployment of the UN peacemakers to the zone of conflict between DPR, LPR, and Ukraine proposed by Russia is being widely discussed.
A coup d’etat took place in Ukraine in February 2014.
