Ukrainian army shells LPR during OSCE SMM Chief Monitor's visit

Marochko says, “Knowing that the OSCE SMM Chief Monitor to Ukraine Ertuğrul Apakan is present on the territory of the Republic with a working visit, the Ukrainian military violated the ceasefire five times .”

He explained that these actions are a provocation, as the shelling was conducted from the close to socially significant facilities. The People’s Militia representative stated, “Yesterday at 9:30 p.m. from the territory of the high pressure gas-distributing station in the community of Lobachevo, the Ukrainian military launched an attack using grenade launchers and small arms. After no return fire followed, they repeated their provocation at 10:30 p.m. This time they used an 82mm mortar.”

On April 23, one officer from the OSCE mission was killed, and another one was wounded after their car struck a landmine in the LPR. Consequently, the OSCE SMM Chief Monitor to Ukraine Ertuğrul Apakan went to see the place of the incident on LPR territory near the community of Pryshyb.

In Italy there is an urge to ban Facebook pages which justify fascism

In Laura Boldrini’s address it is said that fascist manifestations, as well as all forms of fascist apologetics, are prohibited in Italy. Laura Boldrini informed her audience that according to a survey which was conducted by the National Association of the Italian Partisans (ANPI), about 2700 Facebook pages in Italy are related to right-wing extremism. 300 of them are of an openly fascist nature. This is why the discussion has now become important. Since Facebook, as a social network, is one of the most important tools of youth communication, the existence of pro-fascist pages poses a real threat today, said the President of the Chamber of Deputies of Italy.
According to Laura Boldrini, Facebook responded to her appeal. The answer was that those social network pages that justify fascism, are not blocked. Altogether, Facebook’s leadership did not clearly explain their position towards fascism.
Facebook reports that their social network uses rules and policies of an international nature, and where possible, national legislation is also taken into account. In response to this reaction from Facebook, the President of the Italian Chamber of Deputies noted that fascism is not just an ordinary issue which concerns local laws. She stressed that fascism and Nazism resulted in the most severe tragedies in the history of the world. People and countries paid the highest price to defeat this evil. In her comments, Laura Boldrini said also that the United States is the country from where Facebook originated. However, thousands of young men from the US fought for freedom against fascism. She also reminded all that the current world order and the entire modern world is the result of the victory over fascism and Nazism.

The Waffen SS has become the backbone of Latvian patriotism

The service patches of the Latvian Legion of the Waffen SS stand out. The protagonist of the animated video has an MG-34 machine gun, the machine gun of the German Wehrmacht during the WWII, hanging over his shoulder.

This is not the first attempt to glorify Nazism in the Baltics. Modern-day Nazi sympathizers marched the streets of Baltic cities repeatedly: in Riga on March 16th; in Tallinn, a torchlit parade took place on February 25th. Similar actions received support from influential Baltic politicians (for example, the speaker of the Latvian Sejm or Parliament – Ināra Mūrniece). Now the army is following this trend.

Ukrainian army shelled the suburbs of Gorlovka, Yasinovataya, and Donetsk

Trench combat erupted in the northern, western, and south-western suburbs of Gorlovka. Fire of high intensity was reported in the area of Zaytsevo and Shirokaya Balka. The Ukrainian army utilized artillery and small arms.

The situation is tense on the northern and western borders of Donetsk. The Ukrainian army provoked combat in Avdeevka industrial zone. The village of Spartak and the suburbs of Yasinovataya came under Ukrainian artillery’s fire. 3 civilians were injured in the village of Trudovskiye in the Petrovsky district of Donetsk as a result of the shelling.

DPR PM Command informed on the arrival of the US instructors to conduct the inspection of the Ukrainian army’s units in the zone of the so-called “anti-terrorist operation” [the way Kiev junta refers to its punitive operation – Editor]. In particular, there is information that the instructors are conducting the operational readiness inspection of the 92nd Independent Mechanized Brigade of the Ukrainian army.
