During talks in Moscow, Russia and the US took directly opposing positions on Syria, said the leader of the “Essence of Time” movement Sergey Kurginyan on April 12, commenting the results of talks between Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and the US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson during the “Evening with Vladimir Solovyov” political TV show on the “Russia 1” TV channel.
“Directly opposing positions were articulated on key issues,“ Kurginyan stated, adding that “for now such a cold, calm dialogue will continue, with absolutely no compromise on key positions, but with a desire to find points of mutual agreement.”
April 12, Moscow hosted talks between the heads of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the United States Department of State, after which they were received by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
