Situation on the front line in DPR remains tense

The Ukrainian army is provoking trench combat on the northern and south-western suburbs of Gorlovka, in the area of the village of Krasny Partizan, in Avdeevka industrial zone, near the village of Trudovskiye in the west of Donetsk, and in the area of the village of Kominternovo in the south of DPR. The Ukrainian military are using artillery, tanks, and small arms.
In the afternoon, power lines were damaged in the village of Elenovka as a result of the Ukrainian army’s shelling. The Ukrainian military shelled the village of Yasnoye near Dokuchaevsk, where the sappers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of DPR were disclosing the explosive ordnance at that moment. Fortunately, no one was wounded.
According to DPR PM Command, during the past day, one serviceman of the Republic was killed, and another one was wounded.

Kurginyan: We will never betray the Syrian people

“We should let the entire country know that we will never betray them. We have never betrayed the Syrian people; we have never gotten into collusions with anyone, and the criminals will answer for what they have done. We will find a way to hold the criminals responsible without provoking a third world war, but by preventing it”, said Sergey Kurginyan.
He reminded that it is the Syrian people who are now on the front line of the fight against the advocates of the caliphate.
“ISIL [organization banned in Russia] is the main inhuman evil that the world is facing today, it seeks creating a caliphate and to restructure the world. The Syrian people and President Assad are fighting against ISIL [organization banned in Russia] and whatever characteristics they have, better or worse, ISIL is a thousand times worse, and the Syrian people are the only ones who are standing on the front line of this fight. The world must recognize the value of their feat.”
Sergey Kurginyan stressed that U.S. actions against Assad can be regarded as support to Islamists.
“The U.S. has just helped ISIL [organization banned in Russia], and that is it”, concluded the political expert.

Kurginyan: Russia has an asymmetric response, but we do not need a hot war

Citing the conflict between China and Vietnam in 1979 as an example, Sergey Kurginyan noted: “You see, there was a time when China crossed the border and started attacking Vietnam. At that time we thought wondered a nuclear war would begin. And then what did Vietnam do? Vietnam said: Do not interfere, we will respond. And China was pushed back.“
Referring to modern models of Russian weapons, which, in the opinion of Western military experts pose a threat to NATO air forces, Sergey Kurginyan stated, “And now, if the Syrian response would be as it should be, then we are ready to provide the S-400 and everything else, then this would be the next development. But we should not get involved in a hot war, we have not exhausted our options. Technically, we intercepted part of the missiles – but tomorrow we will intercept everything. Can we create a new Syrian air defense system? Yes, we can“.
Speaking in regards to the hybrid war and its aspects, the political scientist stressed, “In fact, if the issue goes further, the problems might begin at very different points. We are not going to activate them. They will arise themselves. For example, in Mosul or elsewhere. And this is also part of the asymmetric response. The most important thing is not to allow a hot war. “

Situation is tense along the whole contact line in DPR

The situation is tense in the suburbs of Gorlovka; the Ukrainian army is shelling the DPR PM positions at the northern borders of the city. There is information that SPG-9 recoilless anti-tank guns and the weapons of BMP-1 infantry fighting vehicle are being used.
In the afternoon, the Ukrainian army shelled the villages of Krutaya Balka and Yakovlevka on the suburbs of Yasinovataya with tanks and heavy mortars. There is no information on destructions and victims.
South of DPR capital, the Ukrainian military shelled the suburbs of Dokuchaevsk.
In the night, the Ukrainian army opened fire on the village of Shevchenko, Telmanovsky district. Fire came from the positions of the 40th artillery brigade. A 23-years woman was injured as a result of the shelling. During the shelling, the woman covered her children with her body; the children were not injured. In the village of Shevchenko, one house is destroyed, 7 houses and a local school were damaged. 122mm and 152mm artillery was used. Moreover, the villages of Belaya Kamenka, Tavricheskoye, and Grigorovka in the south of the Republic were shelled.
