Ukrainian army opened fire on DPR territory 2,927 times

The Ukrainian army is attacking infrastructure of Donbass with BM-21 “Grad” multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), a source in the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on March 6th.

On the northern direction, the Ukrainian army shelled the village of Zaytsevo and northern suburbs of Gorlovka.

On the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian military opened fire on the villages of Vasilevka, Krutaya Balka, on the area of Avdeevka industrial zone, on the village of Spartak, and on the Kievsky district of the capital. In the village of Krutaya Balka, one woman was injured. In the Kievsky district, one house was damaged. The village of Luganskoye, south of Donetsk, came under fire. 3 houses and power lines were damaged. The enemy attacked the towns and villages at the Donetsk part of the front with “Grad” MLRS alongside the heavy artillery and mortars.

DPR engineers restored electric power to the Donetsk water filtration plant. The plant employees have not started their work yet. The date of bringing the plant online is being specified.

4 houses and gas pipeline were damaged in Dokuchaevsk as a result of the night attack. Electric power was partially lost in the villages of Yasnoye and Elenovka. The infrastructure is being restored.

On the south direction, the Ukrainian artillery shelled the village of Kominternovo. One man was wounded, one house was completely destroyed, and gas pipeline was damaged.

According to DPR PM Command, during March 7th, 13 houses were damaged in the Republic as a result of the Ukrainian side’s shelling.

DPR PM intelligence noted the arrival of 2 tank platoons in the area of Slavyanogorsk.

During March 6th, the Ukrainian army opened fire on the territory of DPR 2,927 times. The volume of the shelling is close to what was observed during the escalation in January and February, 2017. The Ukrainian army utilized MLRS, heavy artillery, mortars of various calibers, infantry fighting vehicles, anti-aircraft guns, grenade launchers, and small arms. Zaytsevo, Golmovsky, Gorlovka, Krutaya Balka, Yasinovataya, Spartak, Staromikhailovka, Turdovskiye, Luganskoye, Signalnoye, Dokuchaevsk, Telmanovo, Kominternovo, Leninskoye, Sakhanka, and Bezymennoye came under fire.
