The combats erupted along the whole front line.
Artillery shelling by the Ukrainian army launched the morning offensive. During the night, the aggressor fired 500 shells of 120mm and higher calibers at the positions of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) People’s Militia. The enemy also used multiple launch rocket systems “Grad”. Donetsk city, Yasinovataya and Dokuchaevsk towns, the area of Kominternovo village were shelled.
The enemy suffered serious casualties when storming the brigade position of DPR Armed Forces west of “Yasinovatsky” checkpoint. Sources report that the foreign mercenaries were among the attackers. The enemy was trying to evacuate the bodies of killed foreign mercenaries and, therefore, did not stop the shellings. Breakthrough attempt of the Ukrainian Army was repulsed. Unfortunately, killed and injured militiamen of DPR Armed Forces were reported.
