Cross in memory of salvation of Makeevka from aridity during the war consecrated

A cross, placed at the Makeevka Reservoir in memory of salvation from the lack of water during the active battles of 2014, was consecrated by Archbishop Varnava, press service of the public utility company “Water Donbass” informed today.

The ‘Seversky Donets-Donbass’ channel stopped working in 2014 due to active battles. Residents of Donetsk People’s Republic received drinking water from 8 reserve reservoirs including one in Makeevka. The grateful residents placed the cross at the Makeevka Reservoir in memory of salvation from the lack of water.

“We are planning to place the crosses at each of 8 reservoirs”, the press service of the public utility company added.
