Repaired kindergartens No. 2 and No. 3 of Debaltsevo town damaged during the war at the beginning of 2015 were opened on September 26th, the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) informed Donetsk News Agency.
“Today, kindergartens No. 2 and No. 3 were opened in Debaltsevo. The buildings were repaired after the severe damage due to the heavy shellings by the Ukrainian army,” the press service stressed.
According to the Ministry, the construction materials used were the part of the humanitarian aid delivered by Russian convoys. The builders repaired the damage caused by the shellings and performed the interior finishing. The opening ceremony was attended by the Head of the DPR Ministry of Education and Science Larisa Polyakova and the Head of the town Administration Aleksandr Reyngold.
“I congratulate all of us with this indeed significant event. This is our another small victory, our next step in the shaping of our Republic, a triumph of our life-affirming beliefs and creativity,” the press service of the Ministry stated citing Larisa Polyakova.
Debaltsevo town, one of the important railway stations of Donbass, was completely freed from the Ukrainian punitive forces on February 18th, 2015. The enemy blew up a number of infrastructure objects, 80% of buildings were destroyed in the town. The reconstruction of the town was announced as one of the major tasks of DPR authorities. Today most of the damage is repaired and step by step the town returned to a normal life.
