Yesterday celebratory events dedicated to the 73rd anniversary of liberation of Donbass from German Nazi and fascist invaders took place on Saur-Mogila. Following the tradition, thousands of residents of the Republic, including veterans of the Great Patriotic War, arrived at the base of the tumulus to take part in the celebratory rally and honor the memory of warriors, who died in battles for this height against Nazis in 1943 and 2014.
A concert and a field kitchen were organized for the guests.
The people who gathered climbed to the destroyed memorial to lay flowers at the eternal flame and the graves of the warriors buried there.
The column was headed by a guard of honor, carrying the banner of 690th rifle regiment, which took part in the Donbass operation of the forces of the Soviet South-Western front.
Eternal glory to the liberators of Donetsk land!
