The night on the eve of the Miner’s Day and Donetsk City Day was accompanied by artillery cannonade. Approximately 300 shells were fired by Ukrainian punitive forces at frontline territories of Donetsk People’s Republic. Two civilians were killed by sniper fire, another seven were injured by shrapnel as a result of artillery shellings. Approximately 25 houses were damaged.
In the north of the Republic, Golmovsky and Zaytsevo villages, and north-western districts of Gorlovka were shelled by Ukrainian punitive forces this night. Three civilians were injured. Houses were damaged.
On the Donetsk direction the enemy shelled Yasinovataya regional center, Mineralnoye and Spartak villages, Kuibyshevsky and Petrovsky districts of Donetsk and Aleksandrovka village. Three civilians were injured by shrapnel, houses were damaged. During the whole day a Ukrainian sniper was firing at residents of Petrovsky district. His victims were two women, their wounds were fatal. Trench warfare of varying intensity during the day periodically erupted in the area of the airport and Avdeevka industrial zone.
It was calm during the day in the area of Dokuchaevsk.
Kominternovo and Sakharnka villages were shelled on Mariupol direction.
In Dzerzhinsk DPR recon spotted the arrival of four “Shilka” self-propelled anti-air guns to the contact line. Ten 152mm “Msta-S” self-propelled artillery guns arrived to Blizhneye village. Positions of four 120mm mortars were registered near Avdeevka.
