The situation in Donetsk People’s Republic remains tense. Today the number of artillery shellings of the frontline areas of DPR by Ukrainian military increased to 700. Three civilians were killed, another four were injured. Over 10 houses are damaged and destroyed.
This night enemy artillery shelled the Gorlovka part of the frontline most intensively. Uglegorsk, Golmovsky, Zaytsevo, Shyrokaya Balka villages and Nikitovsky district of Gorlovka were shlled. Two civilians were killed, people are also injured. Direct hits and shrapnel damaged several apartment buildings and houses.
Donetsk direction also wasn’t calm. By the evening trench warfare with large-caliber small arms, grenade launchers and artillery erupted north of Donetsk. Trudovskie and Aleksandrovka villages in the west of the city came under Ukrainian fire today. Civilians were injured and buildings were damaged. Yet again Yasinovataya and Donetsk and Verkhnekalmius water filtration plants were shelled by Ukrainian artillery. OSCE mission members refused to go to the site of the shelling, commenting that the area is dangerous.
Today at 13:00 a powerful explosion rocked central Donetsk. Several residential buildings were damaged by the blast wave and shrapnel. One person died. The primary lead is that the person tried to disassemble a shell.
The situation remains tense in the area of Dokuchaevsk. Trench warfare of varied intensity takes place.
Kominternovo, Leninskoye and Sakhanka villages in the south of the Republic were shelled by the enemy once again.
DPR recon spotted positions of seven mortars west and north west of Donetsk, in Pervomayskoye area, and four self-propelled “Gvozdika” howitzers near Ostroye village.
