Ukrainian saboteurs, who tried to break through into Crimea, planned to bomb the motorcade of Crimean and federal authorities on the Simferopol — Yalta road, “Rossiyskaya gazeta” reports.
Some details of the operation became known as well. Local residents were first to inform Federal Security Service about suspicious people in military uniform near Armyansk town. On the night of August 6-August 7 an operative group moved out to the site and discovered approximately 20 men loading explosives and weapons into a vehicle from an arms cache. All of them wore camo clothing with Russian chevrons on them. Having spotted the operatives, terrorists opened fire to kill.
