Head of Lugansk People’s Republic Igor Plotnitsky was injured this morning as a result of a powerful explosion near his car, LuganskInformCenter correspondent reports from the site.
The Head of the Republic has been taken to one of the hospitals of the capital.
The assassination attempt took place in Lugansk at Karpinskogo and Vatutina streets. Several other people were injured by the explosion, the facades of the nearby buildings were damaged.
Currently the area around the site of the events is cordoned off by the police, investigation is underway.
