During the past night, the Ukrainian army fired 334 artillery shells at the front-line territories of Donetsk People’s Republic, ‘Essence of Time’ unit informed on their official page in the social networks in the evening of August 4th.
Zaytsevo village in the north of Gorlovka town, Vasilievka village and the outskirts of Yasinovataya town, Makeevka town, Spartak, Trudovskie villages, the former Donetsk airport and the “Volvo-Center” on the outskirts of Donetsk, the villages in the south of the Republic were shelled. Once again, the power line of Donetsk water filtration plant, which supplies villages and towns on both sides of the contact line with water, was shelled. Trench combat erupted at 7 PM on the Gorlovka direction with the tank fire opened at Zaytsevo village. At 7.20 PM, the shellings of the southwest of Gorlovka and Shirokaya Balka were started.
Recon of the Republic spotted the location of 20 mortars, 3 self-propelled artillery guns (SPG) ‘Akatsiya’, and 3 howitzers D-30 near Kirovo village not far from Gorlovka town, Novogrigorovka village near Debaltsevo town, Kamenka village near Yasinovataya town and in Avdeevka town.
More than 20 Ukrainian soldiers were killed or injured as a result of the mistake in a gun laying. The fire at the Ukrainian units was opened by the 12th Battalion of the 26th independent brigade of the Ukrainian army opened fire.
On August 2nd, the Ukrainian army fired 872 shells including 777 artillery shells at the territory of the Republic. Zaytsevo village near Gorlovka town, Mineralnoe village and the outskirts of Yasinovataya town, Spartak, Veseloe, Staromikhaylovka and Aleksandrovka villages on the outskirts of Donetsk, Dokuchaevsk town, Novaya Tavriya, Kominternovo and Sakhanka villages in the south of DPR were shelled.
