Ukrainian military opened fire by mortars on Zaytsevo village controlled by Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) in the north of Gorlovka, a source in DPR Defense Ministry informed Donetsk News Agency on March 15th.
“At around 8.00 PM, the Ukrainian military began the shelling of Zaytsevo township by 82mm and 120mm mortars,” the source said.
He added that the enemy was firing from the positions in the neighboring Zhovanka township by also using various kinds of grenade launchers and small arms.
According to the spokesman, almost 20 mortar explosions in residential districts of the township were registered. Information about the destruction and victims is being specified.
In the afternoon on March 15th, DPR Ministry of Defense informed that the Ukrainian military fired almost 600 shells on DPR front-line territories over the past day, two soldiers of the Republic were killed.
