Ukrainian military is ready to go back to the to solving the conflict in Donbass by force, said Russia’s Permanent Representative to the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Alexander Lukashevich on February 4 during the session of the Permanent Council of the organization, TASS reports.
Alexander Lukashevich claimed that increased activity on the part of Ukrainian military is being observed in the area of conflict in Donbass. He was referring to the intensification of the shelling of towns and villages, rotation of military hardware, redeployment of fresh forces, the arrival of reinforcements from other regions of Ukraine.
Lukashevich has also pointed out to the faults in the work of OSCE monitoring mission. The mission of the organization in Ukraine doesn’t monitor the situation behind the lines of the Ukrainian side and doesn’t present detailed data regarding the number and routes of the mission’s patrols.
The Permanent Representative of Russia also thinks that the Ukrainian side is not willing to implement the political points of the second Minsk Agreements, which is why it tries to escalate the conflict and put the blame for this on the militia.
Minsk-2 Agreements were signed on February 12, 2015. One of the political conditions of the conditions of the agreements is a constitutional reform in Ukraine, assuming decentralization and the adoption of a permanent law on the special status for select parts of Donetsk and Lugansk regions.
