According to Ukrainian State Statistics Service the population of Ukraine has decreased by almost 180 thousand people in 2015.
As of December 1, 2015, Ukraine lost 179,3 thousand people as compared to December 1, 2014.
The birthrate has decreased: there were 50 thousand less newborns in 11 months of 2015 than during the same period in 2014.
The territories of Crimea and South-East of Ukraine weren’t included into the calculations.
State Statistics Service also informs that a stable decrease in the population of the country is being observed since spring 2014.
