Ukrainian State Statistics Committee informs that consumer prices in Ukraine by the beginning 2016 increased by 43.3%; in 2014 consumer prices increased by 24.9%.
In December 2015 inflation in Ukraine slowed from 2% in November to 0.7%.
Earlier, the National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) has predicted inflation at the end of 2015 to total 44%. The head of the NBU Valerya Gontareva stated that in 2016 Ukraine’s GDP will grow by 2.4%, inflation will total 12% and the imbalance of payments will be insignificant.
