Kiev has shelled Donetsk People’s Republic 39 times in the past 24 hours.
DPR Defense Ministry is concerned with the escalation of the situation in Donbass.
“The enemy has violated all agreements and shelled the territory of the Republic 39 times. The situation on the contact line has escalated dramatically in the past 24 hours,” Defense Ministry says.
Shyrokaya Balka, Zhabichevo, Spartak villages and the territory of the Donetsk airport got shelled. A total of 33 82mm mortar shells, eight 120mm mortar shells, 13 APC and IFV shots, 204 RPG, anti-tank gun, anti-aircraft gun and automatic grenade launcher shots were fired.
One DPR army serviceman was wounded.
The Ministry hopes for an adequate OSCE reaction.
On Wednesday in Minsk a new ceasefire in Donbass was agreed upon to start at 00:00 (Moscow time) on January 14, 2016.
