Farmers rally in central Kiev. They brought a dead pig in a coffin to the Ukrainian Parliament building as protest, being convinced that the 2016 budget of the country dooms the agriculture of Ukraine to “death”.
The protesters have also brought posters which read “We demand the preservation of the special VAT regulations – the only form of support of farmers”, “If we protect the village – we will protect Ukraine”.
Initially they planned to bring the coffin inside the Parliament, however, the police prevented them from doing so. However, the protest found a different solution which required only a knife: they plan to cut the dead pig into pieces and throw these pieces at the windows of the Parliament.
