White House: US defense budget includes provision of "lethal weapons" to Kiev junta

Press service of the White House issued a message stating that Barack Obama signed the defense budget for 2016 fiscal year, which provides for allocation of $300 million to Kiev junta for military assistance.

One of the points of the budget is “Ukraine Security Assistance Initiative”, which allows the head of the Pentagon, after an agreement with the US Secretary of State, to use $300 million to provide Kiev with “appropriate assistance in the field of security and intelligence services”, which includes the ability to supply “lethal weapons” and anti-tank systems.
