Kiev junta TV channel journalist flees to Lugansk People’s Republic

23.09.2015, Lugansk.

Ukrainian journalist Alla Grushko, who used to work on one of Lugansk TV channels and left to the Nazi-controlled Severodonetsk city when Kiev junta launched the punitive operation in Donbass, quit her job and joined the Lugansk People’s Republic.

The channel belongs to a former Ukrainian Parliament MP. The policy of the channel depends on the position of the shareholders, founders and owners, and on the trend of all Ukrainian mass media. I just didn’t want to show any of this anymore,” she told to the journalists in Lugansk.

According to Grushko, all reports produced by the journalists corresponded only to the pro-Nationalist position of all mass media of Ukraine. And even if the position of interviewed locals was different, they couldn’t air it.

People attempted to tell that there are attempts to draft them. Many women, mothers, wives, daughters, sisters had a negative opinion on this, could organize a rally, go against this. And many men didn’t want to go to war. But we couldn’t tell about this,” the journalist claims.

Grushko told that if such debatable materials appeared, the Editor-in-Chief of the channel always had the last word.

We couldn’t air a report which didn’t correspond to the pro-Ukrainian position. We could air that Ukrainian military are good, that Ukraine fights for its territory, that Ukraine is right,” the journalist specified.

She said that during the opinion polls of the channel in Lisichansk and Severodonetsk of Lugansk region (controlled by the Kiev junta’s punitive forces) the people have expressed negative opinion on junta’s TV and avoided discussions on war and military.
