With such a large number of military hardware and personnel deployed, it is hard to imagine that it will not backfire.
Purgin compared the situation with “smoking next to a powder keg“.
Certain steps made by the Ukrainian President have led to this. The situation became so unpredictable as a result that it might slip out of control any moment and turn into large-scale fighting. And this might happen despite what Poroshenko wants.
Earlier Donetsk People’s Republic Defense Ministry has pointed out numerous times that junta’s General Staff is not capable of controlling militants who belong punitive battalions. Nevertheless, the Ukrainian military is building up presence at the contact line.
