Ukrainian militants shelled the village of Vladimirovka in Donbass to drive people out and occupy their apartments, local resident Aleksandr told reporters on August 6.
“There was still combat to liberate Popasnaya [20 kilometers from Vladimirovka], and they were already shelling from the directions of Artemovsk and Soledar [under full control of Kiev at the time]. They started shelling the village, then they came to the village council and asked if people had left, because they needed to occupy their apartments,” the man said.
Aleksandr also described the cynicism of the Ukrainian military, which forced the owners of the damaged houses to write statements saying that the houses were allegedly destroyed by Russia.
