Russia is interested in denazifying all of Ukraine, because it cannot tolerate any part of it to be accepted into NATO, said philosopher, political scientist and the leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan on Right to Know program on the TVC channel on March 12.
Kurginyan answered a question regarding what will happen to Western Ukraine and how Russia will deal with the civilizational rift passing across Ukraine. He explained that if Russia stops at the civilizational rift that separates Western Ukraine, then “across the rift there will be a Nazi militarist state filled with all kinds of resources, which will keep attacking us continuously, and which will sooner or later be accepted into NATO.”
According to Kurginyan, such a situation is not exactly what Russia needs. “Of course, we want something different. We want what is declared, i.e. demilitarization and denazification,” the political scientist stressed.
He believes that the way the denazification will be carried out remains strongly dependent on what the still official Ukraine will do. However, as the special operation goes on, the situation will be changing, and new negotiations with Ukraine will never be the same, Kurginyan believes.
The political scientist explained that in the civilizational sense, the Ukrainian authorities have brought the country to a situation that has turned out to be absolutely contrary to the Ukrainian people’s interests.
“The civilization it wanted to grovel to, the Western civilization, only needs it dead. As for the civilization that wanted to embrace Ukrainians calling them brothers (…) and giving them everything, they wanted to destroy it. What kind of madness is this? Where is responsibility of a political self-consciousness? Where are the interests of the Ukrainian people?” Kurginyan concluded.
He also noted that Russia is not a civilization per se, but Russia is a meta-civilization, i.e. a structure that can contain various civilizations.
