Latvia is ready to supply weapons to Ukraine if the situation with Russia worsens, the Baltic republic’s Defense Minister Artis Pabriks said, LETA reported on December 22.

According to the Latvian minister, Riga is ready to supply both military goods and necessary non-military goods. Pabriks promised to start deliveries as soon as Ukraine needs them.

On December 20, Lithuanian Defense Minister Arvydas Anušauskas during a meeting in the Lublin Triangle format also promised Kiev to organize supplies of lethal weapons from the Baltics.

The Baltic states also agreed to create their own multiple rocket launchers. Tallinn has already planned the creation of separate units until 2030. The arms buildup is taking place under the pretext of alleged possible aggression from Russia.
