Lavrov: NATO redeploys military equipment to the borders of Russia

30.11.2021, Moscow.

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said on November 30 that NATO is redeploying military equipment to Russia’s borders while making hysterical statements about Russian aggression.

The minister stressed that the United States and its allies in the alliance have recently significantly increased their military activity in the Black Sea. They want to create a grouping of troops near Russia’s borders “for the military expansion in Ukraine” and are studying the situation in case of a forceful solution to the conflict in Donbass.

“It is probably not a secret already that we are accused of exercises conducted by the Russian Armed Forces on our own sovereign territory by those countries that are redeploying troops and military equipment to our borders in increased numbers from across the ocean, and that the United States has encircled us on all sides with its military bases. And yet this hysteria is constantly being stirred up,” Lavrov said.

To justify their actions, Kiev and Western states say they are “concerned about the deploying of Russian forces at the western borders. Claims from the West appear thick and fast, but no evidence has been provided.

“The West’s attempt to preserve its hegemony at any cost contradicts the objective course of history,” Lavrov said.

He stressed that a multipolar world order with several centers of economic growth and political influence is taking shape in the world. Lavrov stressed that Russia will be in favor of finding agreements and consensus solutions. Presidential Spokesman Dmitry Peskov always said that Moscow moves its troops within its territory and at its own discretion. This is in the right of any country and should not bother anyone, as it does not threaten anyone.
