“Tough revenge on the USA” – a former commander of Iran’s IRGC on the death of General Soleimani

Iran vows to revenge USA for the death of Qasem Soleimani, commander of Iran’s elite Quds Force, stated Mohsin Rezaei, Secretary of Expediency Discernment Council, on January 3 on his Twitter page.

Soleimani “who died the death of a Martyr, has joined his brothers”, said Rezaei, the former commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). He promised “taking tough revenge on the USA”.

The Pentagon has confirmed that it conducted an operation against Iranian General Qasem Soleimani and his death as a result of it.

It was reported earlier that the US military launched air strikes on two Iran-linked targets at Baghdad’s airport. Eight people were killed. Muhammad al-Jabiri, the leader of the Iraqi Shiite organization al-Hashd al-Shaabi, and the head of Iran’s Al-Quds special forces, General Qasem Soleimani were among the dead.
