Only a force that clearly defines its attitude towards Ukrainian nationalism and Russia will have a political future in Ukraine, political scientist, leader of the Essence of Time movement Sergey Kurginyan said on the air of the Sunday Evening with Vladimir Solovyov TV program at the Russia One channel.
According to Kurginyan, the important thing is not whom Russia has a stake in, but the very existence of forces that are ready for dialogue with Russia. Their opponents can call them suicidal, but the fact is that they are the only ones who will have any future, the expert believes.
At the same time, Ukrainian politicians who want to secretly receive Moscow’s support while publicly supporting Russophobia and Ukrainian nationalism have no future. “This double-dealing will be an absolute failure,” Kurginyan noted.
“A moment will come when two forces will appear in Ukraine: a Banderite one and an anti-Banderite one. And these two forces will finally clash. Everyone who is stalling and who is trying to do it both ways will be swept away by this certainty, after which the truth will come. This is the most important thing,” Kurginyan stressed.
One of the candidates for the Ukrainian presidency, Yuri Boyko, had negotiations with Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev on March 22, 2019, in Moscow, regarding mutually beneficial economic cooperation between the two countries and the resumption of Russian gas shipments to Ukraine. After that, the Ukrainian Security Service (Ukrainian: SBU) said that Russia supports Boyko in his presidential run.
