After Ukrainian military had seized the Donetsk water filtration plant, the situation at the front sharply deteriorated, and the shelling of the territory of Donetsk People’s Militia (DPR) was intensified, a source in the DPR People’s Militia (DPR PM) informed a Rossa Primavera News Agency reporter on February 25th.
During the day, Ukrainian military was shelling suburbs of Gorlovka. Fire came from the town of Dzerzhinsk and the village of Novgorodskoye. House was damaged in the village of Zaytevo. There is no information on victims. Aerial recon drones were spotted.
On the Donetsk direction, the Ukrainian army sharply intensified the shelling. In the night, Ukrainian military seized the territory of the Donetsk water filtration plant, which supplies Donetsk, Avdeevka, and a number of large communities with water. Ukrainian army is shelling Yasinovataya and the village of Spartak by using the plant infrastructure as a cover.
As of 10 PM Moscow time, the Ukrainian army’s artillery was shelling the northern suburbs of Donetsk. Trench combat does not cease in the area of Avdeevka industrial zone and the “Yasinovataya” checkpoint.
According to DPR PM Command, during the day, one serviceman of DPR Armed Forces was wounded.
DPR PM intelligence continues to uncover the military weaponry and hardware, banned by the Minsk Agreements, near the contact line. Up to a battery of 152mm “Akatsiya” self-propelled artillery and a tank platoon were noted near the village of Ocheretino. Up to a battery of 122mm “Gvozdika” self-propelled artillery was noted near the village of Novobakhmutovka.
According to updated information, during the past day, February 24th, the Ukrainian army shelled the front-line territory of DPR 2,161 times. Ukrainian military fired 99 152mm and 122mm artillery shells, 624 120mm and 82mm mortar rounds, 58 tank shells. Along all directions, the Ukrainian army utilized anti-aircraft guns, infantry fighting vehicles, grenade launchers, and small arms.
