Kurginyan: North Korean soldiers will not change the situation in Ukraine

08.11.2024, Moscow.

North Korean involvement cannot dramatically change the situation in the battlefield in Ukraine, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on October 26 on the program Right to Know on channel TVC.

According to him, the involvement of North Korean military servicemen in the combat against the Ukrainian armed forces is unlikely to change the situation in the region, and “thus it has no direct military sense.”

They will not deploy what we need here. In order to dramatically resolve the problem with Ukraine, in my opinion, we need 10 to 20 new armies. Armies! Well armed,” the political scientist added.

Sergey Kurginyan specified that he meant armies in the military sense, “Division, corps, army – in this sense. Their overall strength must be 500 or 400 thousand.”

He noted that in this context North Korean military are a drop in the ocean in comparison to the number of personnel Russia needs to totally defeat the Ukrainian army.

However, the political scientist said that North Korea provides weapons, and this cannot be left unmentioned.

As a civilian observer watching this vague situation from afar, in the context of the military industry and anything related to arms, including very simple kinds of them, I think we must not diminish the role of North Korea supporting us. I feel it with my skin at the battlefield,” Kurginyan stressed.

Nevertheless, it is hard to imagine a North Korean military contingent at the line of battle engagement in Ukraine, he added.

I try to close my eyes tight and imagine all that altogether. I cannot visualize it. Maybe I am wrong,” the leader of the Essence of Time movement said.
