Kurginyan: While Russia hesitates the West prepares for war

02.11.2024, Moscow.

While various trends are struggling in the Russian elites, the West consolidates and prepares for war, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on October 4 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.

Kurginyan noted that the situation in Russia’s domestic political life “is in an unstable equilibrium state.”

According to the political scientist, various trends co-exist in the Russian elites. Some are pulling backwards “approximately as they pulled in Istanbul.” Others are shocked by the collapse of the two Russias concept, “partying Russia” and “warring Russia.”

Also, there is some kind of excitement that Kurginyan described as ultra- and nuclear. It can result in a great trouble, the philosopher stressed.

At the same time, “the enemy perfectly understands that it is crucial for it to plant a false hope and thus undermine domestic political stability to prevent mobilization,” the political scientist noted.

All this together produces the speculations about a deal, which will certainly not happen, but which is supposed to begin to undermine something, to win over some groups, to increase entropy, uncertainty, and chaos in minds,” the philosopher described the situation.

The political scientist noted that there is a chaos strategy in global policy, and a similar chaos can emerge in people’s minds. All this “can be seen inside what is taking place [in Russia] instead of a reasonable concept of building a united, strong, mobilization-oriented, patriotic military state,” Kurginyan said.

Meanwhile, the West does not only increases its military budgets, but it also founds military plants, which cannot be revoked like the budgets as “they are to be built over five years, and they can only produce military equipment,” the political scientist noted.

New military contingents are being deployed in the West, and talks on their mobilizations in the future are ongoing. All this goes in parallel with “the deployment of military bases along all our borders including Finland as well as speculations about how exactly the Russians will be destroyed in the Baltic Sea in the new situation and what is to happen to the Suwalki Corridor,” Kurginyan stressed.

Also, the West carries out exercises on future military situations, and it keeps making statements that Russians will attack. The political scientist stressed that even freezing the conflict in Ukraine along the current line of battle contact would not change the global situation for Russia.
