US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin arrived in Kiev for a visit during which he will not announce new military aid packages for Ukraine, The Wall Street Journal wrote on October 21.
The publication stated that Austin arrived in Kiev without new military assistance or authorization.
Additionally, it is noted that Austin does not plan to authorize the Ukrainian regime to use US weapons for strikes on targets deep within Russian territory.
The publication also mentions that this visit is likely to be Austin’s last visit to Ukraine as the head of the Pentagon.
