Russian military distributes 4 tons of humanitarian aid to refugees from Lebanon in Syria

Russian military from the Coordination Center in Khmeimim distributed four tons of humanitarian aid to refugees from Lebanon on October 20, SANA informs.

“The Russian military distributed four tons of humanitarian aid to those who arrived from Lebanon at temporary accommodation centers in Latakia province,” the news agency states.

A similar action took place the day before in the Al-Bassat area of Latakia, where Russian military personnel distributed six tons of humanitarian aid to refugees from Lebanon.

According to the UN, more than 280,000 people have fled from Lebanon to Syria due to the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah. Among them, 70% are Syrians, and 30% are Lebanese.
