Israel is ramping up its defense efforts against drones following a Hezbollah attack on an IDF base, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant stated on October 14.

The Israeli Ministry of Defense is placing significant emphasis on developing measures to protect against drone attacks, which has become a critical priority after the recent tragic incident at the Israel Defense Forces base near the city of Binyamina.

The Defense Minister emphasized that this incident necessitates a thorough investigation and analysis of all aspects of the attack. He stated that the ministry is focused on quickly developing solutions to prevent similar attacks in the future. Among the top priorities are improving defensive systems and strengthening security measures at military facilities.

The attack was carried out using a combat drone launched by the Lebanese Hezbollah movement. The drone struck a communal canteen, where soldiers were present at the time, resulting in the deaths of four servicemen and multiple injuries among the remaining personnel on the base.
