Chinese President Xi Jinping announced China’s intention to strengthen strategic coordination with North Korea in a message to Kim Jong Un, as reported by the Chinese newspaper Global Times on October 6.
According to the report, the leaders exchanged congratulations on the 75th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries.
Xi Jinping emphasized that the friendship between China and North Korea is a shared treasure for both countries and their peoples. He highlighted the importance of reinforcing strategic communication, deepening exchanges, and cooperation to promote traditional ties between the nations.
In his response, Kim Jong Un also noted that the development of friendly relations between North Korea and China brings significant benefits to both countries, contributing to the prosperity of their peoples.
