Ukraine is providing assistance to militants in Syria, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said in an article for the journal Russia in Global Politics on October 4.
The Ukrainians, along with the Americans, are providing training to Islamist militants in Syria. They are teaching members of Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (an organization banned in Russia) drone production techniques to operate against Russian soldiers in Syria.
Western countries, Lavrov said, are carrying out strikes in Syria and encouraging Kiev to carry out the same terrorist activities on Russian territory against civilians and civilian infrastructure.
Russia’s border regions are constantly under attack by Ukrainian drones. They also regularly come under artillery fire.
On August 30, the Ukrainian troops struck Belgorod with Vampire MLRS missiles with a cluster part. 5 people were killed, 37 were wounded.
