Russel Bentley is an American, who since 2014 fought on the side of the DPR. His call sign was “Texas”. He was also a war correspondent.

On April 8, Bentley went to help the wounded after the shelling of Donetsk by the Ukrainian armed units. He was never seen again, and his car was also missing. Witnesses said that “Texas” was detained by people in camouflage.
