An appeal to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights Volker Türk about the Kiev regime’s attack on populated areas in Kursk region was sent by Russian Human Rights Commissioner Tatyana Moskalkova, she said in Telegram on August 11.

Sent an appeal to the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights with a demand to condemn terrorism by Ukraine and take measures to prevent flagrant mass violation of human rights,” she wrote. The ombudsman emphasized that “thousands of civilians have suffered as a result of the barbaric attack on Kursk Region by the Ukrainian armed units.

Moskalkova also expressed hope that the commissioner would reflect the information from Russia in the September report. In addition, she emphasized that Russian human rights commissioners are working in temporary accommodation centers with residents of the Kursk region and collecting humanitarian aid for them.

Since the beginning of August, the Kiev regime has been conducting a massive attack on the Kursk region through rocket attacks and raiders. The enemy occupied several villages, but Russian troops managed to stop the offensive and stabilize the situation.

The military actions on the part of the enemy are accompanied by an information campaign to foment panic within Russia and spread disinformation. A number of supposedly pro-Russian resources have joined this campaign, which has caused a backlash from other media outlets.
