“Combat is underway on the border in Suzhansky and Korenevsky districts of Kursk Region. Artillery and aviation are striking at the enemy. Russian soldiers and border guards continue to destroy the enemy. 16 units of Ukrainian military equipment have already been destroyed,” Smirnov wrote at 7:02 p.m.

At 17:34 p.m., he forwarded a message from the Russian Defense Ministry, which read that the remnants of the sabotage group retreated to the territory of Ukraine, while some of the militants tried to gain a foothold on the territory adjacent to the state border. They were blocked by the Russian army.

“Having suffered significant losses, the remnants of the sabotage group retreated to the territory of Ukraine, where they continue to be hit by fire,” the statement said

The Russian Defense Ministry also posted a video with footage of the destroyed military equipment of the Ukrainian armed units on the border of the Kursk region during another attempt by the enemy to break through to the territory of the region.
