The German company Bosswerk GmbH & Co.KG, a manufacturer of solar panels, announced its bankruptcy on August 5, Karlsruhe Insider magazine informs.
Competition in this highly competitive market is too fierce these days. Chinese competitors offer similar products at comparatively low prices.
The company was founded in North Rhine-Westphalia in 2006. Since then, the company has specialized in the development and sale of solar energy equipment.
The online store GreenAkku, launched in 2010, has sold about half a million solar systems to date. The company employs about 100 people. Currently, it is reported that Bosswerk’s operations will continue as usual despite the ongoing restructuring. Bankruptcy administrator Joachim K. Mohlitz has been brought in for this purpose.
