France will only be able to transfer six Mirage 2000-5 fighter jets to Ukraine, Valeurs Actuelles media reported the June 18.
“France can only transfer six units of the Mirage 2000-5. Very few,” the report said.
It is reported that the transfer of all 26 fighter jets could negatively affect France’s military power.
Earlier, French President Emmanuel Macron said that they will deliver these fighter jets to Ukraine by the end of 2024, as well as train the pilots.
He emphasized that these weapons would not be used to attack Russian residents.
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said earlier that any weapons transferred to Ukraine would be a legitimate target for Russia. This also hinders the resolution of the current conflict in Ukraine.
