The Soviet top dissident elite said that the Soviet Union and Russia were an obstacle for the development of the global civilization, the leader of the Essence of Time movement, political scientist and philosopher Sergey Kurginyan said on December 14 on the program Conversation with a Sage on the Zvezda radio station.
“Valeria Novodvorskaya, who loved my theater, sometimes said something practically meaningful. She said that she had attended some conversations where our top dissident elite – our elite! – said that in a war of China against the Soviet Union they would support China,” Sergey Kurginyan told.
He explained that this elite used to say that it hated Communism.
“One of the main beacons of our dissident movement said that the Soviet Union and Russia were a cobblestone lying on the path of the global civilization. It must be thrown away, whatever happens to it afterwards,” the political scientist noted.
Sergey Kurginyan explained that it was not only the West that equalized Communism and the Russians, “This took place here as well as there. This was a common consensus.”
